“Early motorcycle designs from Motorhispania were sleeker, tougher and quicker than their counterparts and this is a technical advantage that has remained with the company throughout recent years” – Quality Scooters
Sometimes having a nice looking on the road motorcycle just isn’t enough. I know for sure that I like to feel dirt beneath my tires and nothing is so satisfying as feeling my back tire dig in and kick off at a start over some loose track. This is exactly what the Motorhispania DUNA SX 125cc off road learner legal motorcycle was built for.
Now something you not know about Motorhispania is that their business actually evolved through aviation technology development processes and this gave Motorhispania an edge that no other Spanish scooter manufacturer had at the time. The result was that early product designs from Motorhispania were sleeker, tougher and quicker than their counterparts and this is a technical advantage that has remained with the company throughout recent years.
The DUNA SX is one of the company’s brand new off-road motorcycles aimed at the learner legal market in the UK and boy, does it deliver. It is one of the most robust and tough off-roaders we’ve seen in the last few months and the excellent design capabilities of Motorhispania mean that this extra toughness does not come at a price – either a financial one or a performance one.
As well as excellent design, the DUNA SX supplements this with real quality parts. The upside down, shock absorbing forks are designed by Paioli Meccanica and the superior brake disc technology is supplied by Tecme. These quality parts enable the DUNA SX to hit over 60mph with it’s 12 BHP in complete control whilst at the same time offering a satsifactory 7.8 litre fuel tank.
When all of this comes together with aviation design knowhow, you get a pretty fantastic, nippy and solid piece of kit at an excellent price-tag. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more compelling offering in it’s class.
